Peer Facilitators’ Organization started when a teacher from La Consolacion College arrived at PNU-Visayas in 1997. As his pet project from his previous school, he enthusiastically organized the PFO with Mr. Gelex Jacomilla as the first PFO president. The teacher as a Guidance Counselor observed that the university has no qualified counselor. As a gesture of helping the students with their problems and concerns, the PFO was born with its main objective is to assist the students in the university. Objectives: Section 1. To uphold the truth that “A person is of more value than the whole world.” Section 2. To establish camaraderie and unity among members as well as with other students. Section 3. To develop good relationship among students. Section 4. To give comfort and counsel to students in times of sorrow and perplexity. Section 5. To give emphasis to everyone that one’s life is precious than any material things in this world. Section 6. To promote a happy and pleasant atmosphere in the university Section 7. To develop and improve inter-Peer Facilitators’ Program of the Guidance Department. Section 8. To render selfless service within the school and the community throughout each program and the like. Section 9. To promote environmental awareness among students through counseling.
