It was June 4, 2007- When Mr. Verbo O. Tuyogon the School Head of Biabas National High School and late Mrs. Concepcion B. Malima the OIC, requested to organize a dance group in the campus . Without any regression, automatically I (Emerson Boyonas Ligan SST-1), posted the announcement four audition in the afternoon schedule next day June 5, 2007.. It is a come true for me since I missed organizing a dance group. Only few were eager and confident audition that's why we just recruited potential , skillful , talented and with pleasing personality students of formerly called Biabas National High School now Biabas Trade High School. First performance and the launching of the KALINANGAN performing arts organization was June 11, 2007 during the pre-independence day celebration, then the first trainings of members was held inside the four classroom building during six consecutive saturday. The KALINANGAN comes from original tagalog root word “LINANG” which mean to mold, to develop,to enhance etc. Organization Objectives: 1. To promote welfare of the members , develop responsibility , initiative and cordial relations among members and contribute to the development of individual personality as a performer of Biabas Trade High School - KALINANGAN Performing Arts Organization 2. To discover and enhance , in addition , the different attitudes and interests of the members so as to equip them with the skills for productive endeavors and thus prepare them to the competitive world and for further formal training. 3. To establish a potent , unified and influential force needed to improve all aspects in the educational community anta develop their potential as a human being , enhance the quality of citizen participation in the basic function of society and promote in each member a sense of national identity , cultural consciousness , integrity and spiritual vigor.
