Hindang Youth League or HYL is both a socio-civic and faith-based youth organization of Barangay Hindang, Julita, Leyte. HYL has been organized initially to gather the young people for peace, unity, and belongingness but it has extended its mission to capacitate, develop and empower the youth through community involvement. HYL aims to achieve the following objectives: a. To promote and stimulate the exchange of experiences in youth development through conference, seminar, workshop, and meetings; b. To promote, identify, and support research necessary for youth welfare and development; c. To capacitate youth as responsible members and leaders of the society; d. To instill the important roles of youth in the family, church, and community; e. To develop youth’s skills and talents through learning and development; f. To establish a common ground for the youth on developing sense of love and belongingness; and g. To keep the youth away from vices and delinquencies.
