Social Inclusion and Equity, Active Citizenship
We are the young, vibrant, and committed Christians of today’s generation who envision and declare that as young people: We are called to respond faithfully to the invitation of our Lord Jesus Christ to love and serve God, our brothers and sisters, and the whole of creation in our own capabilities and giftedness. We are the sons and daughters of the Church who embrace Carmel’s way of life. We are the Youth of Carmel who lovingly share Carmel’s charism with the people as Prophets and Contemplatives (to pray, to serve and to live in community as brothers and sisters) in the midst of the world today. In the zeal of Elijah and Elisha, the Prophets of Carmel; and Mary, our Sister, Mother and Patroness, and all the saints of Carmel, we are resolved: TO PRAY and thank the Lord “for his love is without end.” We offer prayers and sacrifices for the intentions of the Church and of the Carmelite Order, for the well-being of peoples and of the whole of creation. We reflect on the Word of God through Lectio Divina and to celebrate the Eucharist together in the spirit of sharing and loving fellowship. TO SERVE in various ways and capacities in the name of Christ. Being sensitive to the signs of our time so we can give witness and manifest the values of the kingdom in our world today. We participate in the mission of Christ and involve in the different ministries of the Carmelites and the Church. TO LIVE IN COMMUNITY as brothers and sisters of our Lord Jesus Christ under the maternal care and protection of Mary, the Lady of Mount Carmel. We support one another as a our witness and our humble gift to the Church and the world today.
