Quote: "Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is a progress Working together is success" -Edward Everett Hale The TSY Organization, known as Tigabong/Sibayato Youth Organization, can help change the public's perception of young people from being "the problem" to being an important part of making life better in the community. Involving young people in the community helps them see themselves as part of the whole; they really do become less likely to cause problems and more likely to want to look for solutions. The organization is allowing the members to carefully develop their leadership potential by involving them, so that as they grow and learn, they can become thoughtful, prepared leaders of society. Other community organizations can often partner with youth organizations for mutual benefit. Youth can bring a tremendous amount of life to an organization; often, their energy, enthusiasm, creativity, and perspective are invaluable to members of larger community initiatives that choose to actively involve them. The TSY Organization implements skill training programs designed to provide our youth with useful skills as they participate in an activity in their field of interest inside or outside school hours. The goal of these organizations is to teach our youth to be self-sufficient. By assisting children in surviving until adulthood, we enable them to become self-sufficient individuals capable of caring for themselves, their families, and significantly contributing to the future of their community. Learning any of these skills will be a way for our youth to provide for themselves and will enable them to be less dependent on handouts.
