Goal ASNHS Research Club’s goal is to both prepare and mentor its members to come up with research opportunities that can contribute to the youth welfare in the local community. Objectives The ASNSHS Research Club, aims to: A. Provide aspiring student researchers with the resources necessary to transform their classroom knowledge into an experience that can benefit the youth and the whole community, in general. B. Conduct series of lectures, guided experiments, and one-on-one interactions with competent students, members learn invaluable skills that can be applied in real life setting. C. Encourage members to attend meetings and work in groups representing all levels of experience and expertise. D. Teach members about its responsibility as one of the youth organizations of the municipality of San Francisco and at the same time give its members avenue to explore their own curiosities. E. Helps in pursuing scientific and non-scientific research by providing students from all backgrounds the opportunity to be involved in research. F. Provide students several opportunities to continue their exploration of scientific and non-scientific research through internships outside of the municipality G. Encourages all youth students to put forth proposals for researches that they are interested in and provides the resources for those researches through the help of the local government in partnership with the National Youth Commission. Purpose The ASNSHS Research Club, was created in order to: A. Foster a community of student researchers from different schools in the municipality in order for them to learn how to analyze research papers B. Helps in coming up with researches that can be beneficial to the community in addressing major concerns or issues among youth. C. Give assistance through the members of the club’s board in order to create stronger entries which can be presented locally or in the national level. D. Lastly, help student researchers who have demonstrated an interest in scientific or non-scientific research but lack the experience or resources to perform research.
