Rotaract is a global youth service organization that was created in the purpose of fostering leadership, fellowhip, and community service. The name “Rotaract” is a portmanteau of “Rotary” and “Action”. Highlighting its close affiliation with Rotary International, one of the world’s largest service organizations. Objectives: Rotaract Clubs bring together people ages 18 and older to exchange ideas with leaders in the community, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun through service. It aims Engage in meaningful and impactful community service projects that address local and global challenges mainly on the 7-area focus (Environment; Peacebuilding and Conflict prevention; Disease prevention and treatment, Water Sanitation, and Hygiene; Maternal and Child Health; Basic Education; Literacy and Community Economic Development), aiming to create lasting positive change. Furthermore, it aims to promote diversity and inclusion within Rotaract clubs and the broader community to ensure that people from diverse backgrounds are welcomed and empowered to participate.
