The Mission and Vision of FSUU Gawad Kalinga Youth is based on the vision and mission of Gawad Kalinga. The Gawad Kalinga vision is “building a nation empowered by people with faith and patriotism; a nation made up of caring and sharing communities, dedicated to eradicate poverty and restore human dignity” and its mission is ending poverty for millions of families in the years to come. As our University strives to create competent, compassionate and committed students, the FSUU Gawad Kalinga Youth aims to become a leader in the institution by acting in accordance with the URIAN core values, encouraging volunteerism and patriotism, and reviving the concept of bayanihan and nation building. The objective of the organization are the following: 1. To organize activities or programs in adopted, recommended, or chosen communities to help alleviate or reduce poverty, inequalities, and other issues that related to such; 2. To take part in workshop, seminars, or activities that will deepen their passion for nation-building and community service; 3. To develop their individual skills, strengths, and specialties to become better citizens of the country and use them to further the goals of Gawad Kalinga; 4. To inspire, educate, and become a representative that will encourage fellow youths and the rest of the Community to be part of the Gawad Kalinga and its mission towards ending poverty for millions of Filipinos. 5. To come-up with innovative solutions, initiatives, and significant social movements that will address the Various challenges faced by our communities.
