A student-led organization since 1998, Ang Sandigan for 26 years has been a consistent top-ranking socio-civic organization at Silliman University and in Dumaguete City. Anchored on the 5Cs of Silliman University (classroom, court, culture, church, and community), Ang Sandigan crafts and implements projects for the students in the institution and the community beyond the gates of the institution. Ang Sandigan is also a member of the Local Youth Development Council of Dumaguete City and is currently the Committee Chairperson for Global Mobility. In 2022, Ang Sandigan garnered the Youth Excellence for Active Citizenship Award from the Sangguniang Kabataan Pederasyon ng Dumaguete. Recently, Ang Sandigan was officially registered as part of the Provincial Youth Development Council of Negros Oriental.
