Economic Empowerment

The PUP Economics Research Society (PUP ECONRES) is the official and duly recognized college-based academic organization under the Department of Economics of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. Since 1987, PUP ECONRES has been serving as the student body representative and has committed to academic excellence and economic literacy. The PUP ECONRES primary objectives are to promote academic excellence and enhance the overall well-being of Economics students by initiating related programs and projects. We aim to raise awareness on current economic and societal issues through projects and seminars while developing research skills through conventions and workshops. The organization strives for the active engagement of Economics students in both its initiatives and university-wide activities. Additionally, PUP ECONRES seeks to foster camaraderie and solidarity among its members through social-oriented activities, contributing to a supportive and collaborative community within the organization.
