Pangasinan Youth for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (PYDRRM) is a youth-led and volunteer-driven non-government organization which aims to serve the people of Pangasinan through raising awareness on the importance of DRRM, Science, and Journalism - both online and on-ground. OBJECTIVES: 1. The organization carries the motto "Mula sa Kabataan, Para sa Handa at Ligtas na Pangasinan" ensuring that there should be #NoOneLeftBehind through the delivery of relevant and accurate information. 2. The organization works towards empowering the youth (especially student leaders, student journalists, and other advocates) to #ServeThePeople of Pangasinan. 3. The organization strives to empower youth-led initiatives on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) in Pangasinan -- anchored with the need to stop romanticizing and/or redefining resiliency and demanding accountability by advocating for social inclusion (with focus on climate justice, mental health, gender, marginalized and indigenous peoples). 4. The organization pursues to strengthen citizen science and science communication in through easy-to-understand online contents and activities which aims to bring the field of Science (with focus on Meteorology, Geology, Astronomy, and Environment/Climate) closer to the people of Pangasinan. 5. The organization believes in the need of citizen journalism and journalism (in general) that progressively moves to create #SafeSpaces in addressing the challenges of DRRM brought by societal issues. 7. The organization envisions to revitalize solidarity and establish connection among the youth and the people of Pangasinan.
