The Jovenes Zamboanga City Coalition is a nonpartisan, community-based youth coalition chapter produced by the Tayo Na! Collaboratory for Young Leaders of Democracy program – a project by Legal Network for Truthful Election. The coalition aims to strengthen the youth’s civic participation, electoral involvement, and youth participation in governance. The key mission of the Jovenes Zamboanga City Coalition aims to strengthen and increase the active participation of the Zamboangueño youth advocates in governance through the provision of high-quality advocacy trainings and workshops that will maximize their full potential in civic, electoral participation and enable them to manifest sufficient advocacies pertaining to youth developmental initiatives. Establish a framework that will serve, educate, and help the advocacies of the youth advocates and leaders from youth-serving organizations, Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation, and members of the Local Youth Development Council (LYDC). The possible action and movements of the coalition is to conduct capacity development trainings, awareness campaign, and voter’s education. Build a strong connection with various organizations, most especially the vulnerable sectors on promoting good governance advocacy that will influence the youth. Lastly, Increase the youth’s participation on governance and nation building. Train and indulge the youth on Policy making and Lobbying to enhance their capabilities and skills in governance.
