Education
The Supreme Secondary Learner Government is a school-based organization that has 11 members: president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, auditor, public information officer, protocol officer, and representative from grades 7 to 10. The SSLG officers must be bona fide students and have good standing through their academic performance and the characteristics of being a role model, discipline, and good leadership. Being a student leader is not a simple task because they have different responsibilities and goals for the school and for every student that is connected to them. An SSLG must have principles and ideas to handle different kinds of activities and projects, as well as in creating proposals and action plans for schools and students. According to the By-laws of SSLG, they have different objectives and these are: first, develop love of God, and country, moral character, personal discipline, leadership and efficiency among its members. Second, train members for effective and efficient leadership. Third, help the students develop self-confidence. Fourth, promote unity among leaders and the student body. Fifth, maintain school aspirations to promote quality education and academic excellence. Sixth, serve and protect the student’s rights and welfare; and lastly, represent the student in the policy-making body of the school concerning the student’s welfare. The objectives are related to creating a good character, building strong relationships, and developing a great leader that will help us grow and improve. And the most important is maintaining a school aspiration that promotes quality education and academic excellence, because the plans of SSLG are not always about creating happy and good memories but also helping each other to improve academically. The SSLG have always the eye in creating a good future where the students will learn and enjoy at the same time.
