San Nicolas Buenavista Guimaras PYAP organization is a local branch of the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP). This organization is committed to provide opportunities and support to out-of-school children who are clients of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) between the ages of 15 and 30. San Nicolas is a barangay in the Philippines' Western Visayas region. It is located in the municipality of Buenavista, Guimaras. It is made up of seven sitios or puroks, with a barangay kagawad in charge of each. Notably, Purok Cinco, or "Sitio Serum Bukid," and Purok Kuatro, or "Sitio Serum," are two of these puroks that are home to ancestor stories that have been passed down over the years. The San Nicolas Buenavista Guimaras PYAP group aims to improve and empower the lives of local youth not only those who are not enrolled in school but also those who are inactive in the community. They provide a wide range of services and activities that are intended to concentrate on education, skills and personal development, health, career prospects, peace building and security, environment, and social inclusion/equity. The organization hopes to provide young people with the values, information, and abilities they need to improve to be contributing members of society through various programs.
