Education, Social Inclusion and Equity, Active Citizenship
This students’ organization (club) intends to create equal opportunities for learners to exhibit their talents and develop not only the youth’s self -confidence but also their social and intellectual well -being. Students’ interpersonal skills will be strengthened by creating channels to showcase their inner beauty and love for language. Likewise, the club also aims to assist students in accomplishing their school -based research projects. Particularly, LRC supports the aim of the MATATAG curriculum which is to strengthen students’ competence towards literacy achievement by cascading sequential training and experiential learning congruent to the curriculum standards. The club may opt to conduct programs such as Literacy and Research Festivals wherein talents of students will be showcased, and previous research conducted by SHS students will be discussed by the researchers to their co -SHS students who are currently dealing with their research projects. Likewise, the club is willing to extend its services to the nearby community and to the school community as well in sharing its resources and practices that aim to enhance literacy in the event of community extension program. Additionally, the club is willing to create literacy opportunities for students to capitalize learning and to promote the culture of language learning and researching.
