Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT) is a youth organization in the Municipality of Tubungan. It was established to insulate the youth from radicalization efforts of the communist movement. It is also a strategic response towards addressing the threat of illegal drugs on the youth. Moreover, it seeks to empower youth and student sectors to become resilient to radical ideologies and to protect them from being brainwashed by the CCP-NPA into abandoning their studies and future. Its objectives are as follows: To organize a youth movement that opposes the using of illegal drugs and joining to any acts of terrorism in the country. To provide recreational and consolidating opportunity for the youth. To inflame the spirit of volunteerism in Tubunganon youths by the projects and activities provided by the organization and Philippine National Police (PNP). KKDAT encourages and strengthens the youth’s ability in suppressing the illegal drugs and terrorism problem in the country through conducting activities such as outreach programs, lectures, and seminars. This organization collabs with the PNP in campaigning the ill effects of illegal drugs and terrible influence of terrorism in the society. This is to strengthen the bond between the police and the youth in the country’s renewed fight against illegal drugs and terrorism. Through this, our fellow youth will be educated about the effects of terrorism, violent extremism, and the abuse of illegal substances.
