Kabataang San Juan Youth Organization is a community-based organization who strives to unify the youth of Sitio Siwang and help them develop their skills; to exhibit core values which enables them to become a better person and to become a role model for future generations. The organization shall have the following objectives: To encourage youth participation in environmental and natural resource management for the sake of health, safety, and increased sustainable livelihoods; To assist young people in developing a greater understanding and respect for their own traditions as well as those of others through participation in programs that reflect the principles of equality, diversity, and interdependence; To encourage and support young people in contributing to, steering initiatives, and leading their own youth-led projects in order to foster and develop increased learning and develop opportunities for them; To develop strong relationships with organizations that share our goals, thereby increasing young people’s capacity to build on their skills and aptitudes for their own personal growth as well as the long-term success and development of their community.
