it is impossible to overstate the important function the school publications play in youth development. Republic Act. No. 7079, also referred to as the Campus Media Act of 1991, establishes guidelines for organizing and developing school newspaper as well as providing training in campus media In this regard, the state has declared its policy to support and defend press freedom even in colleges campuses and to encourage the growth and development of campus journalism as a way to fortify moral principles, stimulate critical and creative thinking, and help the young people of the Philippines develop moral character and self-discipline. Objective: 1. The application of communication arts in discipline 2. The basic mechanism and technical skills in journalism 3. The responsibilities and privileges in journalism in relation with the contents of articles to be published 4. The use of student publication in support of the educational development of the student 5. Developing intelligent and responsible student leadership and good citizenship in a free and democratic society 6. Serving as a channel for unifying all members of the school and the community towards desirable educational and cultural development objective. 7. serving as a pool of learning experiences of the student journalists 8. Advocating social consciousness and upholding the interest of the Filipino People 9. Advocating student's rights and responsibilities as well as promoting their general welfare.
