San Nicolas Volleyball Club is a youth organization of the Municipality of San Nicolas, Province of Ilocos Norte which composes of youth who are residents and registered inhabitants in the municipality who possesses love, passion, skills and interest in playing volleyball. The club envisions to provide members the opportunity to learn the game of volleyball and expose their skills at the highest possible standards, at the same time, learn significant lessons of leadership, discipline, commitment, cooperation, time management and trustworthiness. Hence, leads them to carry these values forward in real life. It likewise has the mission to develop discipline and skills, while instilling the passion towards the game and compassion towards co- members and others. Further, to provide safe, quality opportunities for the growth, development, and enjoyment of youth volleyball in the Municipality of San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte. The organization aim to (1) create an avenue to develop and improve the skills of the youth through lecture, seminar and training; (2) provide experience to the youth necessary to expose their skills and competence; (3) develop relationship among members, to include coaches, parents and the community; (4) provide training and coaching opportunities to all members at all levels; (5) create a competent team to represent the municipality and the group in various competitions; (6) generate funds to support the operation and other needs of SNVC; and o extend services to the local government and to the community through community works. Ages of registered members ranges from fifteen (15) to thirty years of old. The membership was opened to all genders which was intended to provide an equal opportunity to all citizens to become a part of the club. During the submission of the organization’s requirements for accreditation, the organizers only received an all-male interested applicants which hereafter became the starting members of the club. It then started with forty (40) members. The club looks forward that it will continue to accept memberships as days go by. As prescribed in the submission of application, SNVC had selected its board of officers and the organization’s adviser. The constitution and by-laws and standing committees were likewise crafted. With all these, it is expected that the application will be easily granted. If succeeded, SNVC will put a mark in the history of the municipality as being the first sports organization to be accredited by the National Youth Commission.
