Peace-Building and Security, Active Citizenship

The Youth for Peace and Movement Philippines (YFPDMP) is a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) registered Non-stock and Nonprofit organization that advocates peace and development through youth empowerment. We are composed of Volunteers aged 15 to 35 years old from different corners of the country who understand that since we are one of the most vulnerable sectors when conflicts arise, it is only right that we also stand and use our idealism, gifts, and enthusiasm to promote peace and help resolve these conflicts. We are products of the Youth Leadership Summit - a one-stop-shop training that started in 2002, where we are being molded to become leaders and peace-builders. We are guided by our Core Values of Leadership, Good-Citizenship, and Patriotism. Objectives – Aligned with the Organization’s Vision and Mission the YFPM – Santo Tomas Chapter shall strive to: • To uphold inclusive youth participation to fulfill their vital role in nation building. • To encourage youth volunteerism to assist the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Santo Tomas in all its projects for the Youth, and other youth sectors. • To organize and promote solidarity, cooperation and mutual assistance among the members of the organization and other youth sectors. • To advocate peace and promote nationalism among the youth sector. • To undertake other activities not contrary to the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
