The Libon Community College School Press finds its foundation in Republic Act 7079, also known as the Campus Journalism Act of 1991. This law emphasizes the core value of fostering student development through the vibrant world of campus journalism. We aim to cultivate a platform where student journalists can refine their skills, hone their critical thinking, and develop strong moral character. Our core mission aligns with the Act's vision: to provide opportunities for growth that goes beyond the classroom. By actively participating in the School Press, students gain valuable hands-on experience in research, writing, editing, and media production. This not only builds their communication and critical thinking skills but also instills a sense of responsibility and ethical conduct essential for future success. We believe that a thriving campus press fosters a well-informed and engaged student body. Through accurate and diverse reporting, we aim to amplify the voices of the Libon Community College community, sparking important conversations and promoting a culture of inclusivity.
