The USJ-R Supreme Student Council 42nd Congress is the autonomous, democratic student organization of the whole Josenian studentry which shall serve as the official student government of the school and shall be the sole representative and voice of the whole Josenian populace. It serves as the umbrella organization of all the accredited organizations of the University of San Jose - Recoletos. It is composed of elected and appointed officers, duly designated in Executive offices and commissions, and Legislative committees and schools. We’re able to provide various initiatives and services such as print for less, courtesy booth, lost and found, free landline calls, grievance desk, insurance claims, live budget hearings, discounts; partnership with 19 businesses that includes discount and collaboration from brands such as MoveIt, Expressions, The Company, The Workplace, 5PM Studios, and more; socio-civic participation such as Coastal Clean-up Drive in Barangay Tayud, Consolacion, in partnership with SK Tayud; and capacity-building activities such as GE SSC and Commission Upskill. In addition, we also funded projects on various sectors such as environment, arts and culture, gender equality, entrepreneurship, youth empowerment, public health, mental health, and esports. In 2023, we actively participated in various programs organized by CCYDC, such as the Seminar on Digital Safety and Discrimination on Social Media; Some of our recent external engagements also include NYC’s 13th National Youth Parliament, RAFI’s AYCEStorya: Conversations for Change, and YouthLedPH’s Arangkada: Youth Leaders Summit 2023.
