The Hope In A Box Team Romblon, Romblon is a branch of the Hope In A Box Movement, which is a part of the Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation. The Team was established during the COVID-19 pandemic, when schools were closed, and children from the community had to shift to modular learning. Although students were given modules to answer at home, they still struggled with a lack of guidance and expertise in teaching. Moreover, parents were also facing financial difficulties as many of them had lost their jobs due to the pandemic, and their main focus was to provide food for their families. The founder of the Hope In A Box Team Romblon, who was also an elementary teacher, came up with an idea to uplift the children's spirits and help them learn by providing them with school supplies. Volunteers from the team would visit barangays and conduct short tutorial sessions with children to help them improve their basic literacy skills. The goal of the movement was to make sure that no Filipino kid was left behind and that education continued even in difficult times. The team's mission was to address the educational needs of children in every community. As the team grew and the needs of the community changed, the Hope In A Box Movement began to reach out to other areas that needed help, such as health, calamity response, environmental protection and conservation, inclusivity, and more. Despite expanding their outreach, the education and welfare of children remained at the forefront of the team's priorities.
