The Supreme Secondary Learner Government of Taptap Integrated School is a student-led organization established by the Department of Education. It aims to give students in secondary schools a voice in their education and school community. This government is made up of elected student leaders from JHS Department (Grade 7) to SHS (Grade 12). These student leaders come together to discuss issues that affect students, share ideas, and propose solutions to improve their learning environment. TIS-SSLG also works closely with teachers, school administrators, local officials and the Department of Education to ensure that student perspectives are considered in decision-making processes. Objectives: 1. Empower Students: Give students a platform to express their opinions and take part in decisions that affect their education and school life. 2. Promote Leadership: Encourage leadership skills among students by providing them with opportunities to lead initiatives and represent their peers. 3. Improve Schools: Work on projects and propose changes to improve the learning environment and overall school experience for all students. 4. Foster Communication: Enhance communication between students, teachers, and administrators to ensure everyone's voice is heard. 5. Encourage Participation: Motivate students to participate in school activities and governance, fostering a sense of community and responsibility. Build Confidence: Help students build confidence and develop skills that will benefit them in their future education and careers.
