Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT)tends to organize, train, and mobilize the youth and student sectors as advocacy support groups that will stand against illegal drugs and terrorism; to incite the spirit of volunteerism among the youth and student sectors through Police Community Relations platforms and programs; and to empower the youth and student sectors to become proactive partners of the government in the nationwide cascading of advocacies relative to anti-terror. The Creation of this national youth and student movement, the “ Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo” (KKDAT), is the PNP-Police Community Affairs and Development Group’s response to the Executive Order No. 66, series of 2018, signed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea for President Rodrigo Roa Duterte on October 29, 2018, titled “INSTITUTIONALIZING THE PHILIPPINE ANTI-ILLEGAL DRUGS STRATEGY”, which, among others, direct all government offices, department, bureaus, agencies, and offices, including Government-owned and controlled Corporations (GOCCs) and state universities and colleges (SUCs) to implement the Philippine Anti-Illegal Drugs Strategy (PADS) and to encourage non government organizations, civil society organizations, and private institutions to actively support the projects and programs under PADS. KKDAT likewise answers the call provided under Executive NO. 70 institutionalizing the Whole-of-Nation Approach in attaining an inclusive and Sustainable Peace Framework, thus ensuring the active participation of all sectors of society in the pursuit of the country’s peace agenda.
