The Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) of Bansud National High School - Regional Science High School for MIMAROPA serves as the highest governing body for all learners in the school. The SSLG plays a crucial role in safeguarding learners' rights and welfare, exemplifying excellence, and embodying good character and strong moral values. Founded on principles of good governance, volunteerism, participatory democracy, responsible servant-leadership, collaboration, unity, accountability, and efficiency, the SSLG is committed to serving the learners. The SSLG aligns with the Department of Education (DepEd) mission statement, which aims "to protect and promote the right of every Filipino to quality, equitable, culture-based, and complete basic education." In pursuit of this mission, the SSLG focuses on creating a child-friendly, gender-sensitive, culturally aware, safe, and motivating learning environment. The SSLG officers have set several goals to enhance student welfare and campus security. They have programs to promote proper garbage disposal by installing additional waste segregation containers throughout the campus or adopting Project SIGA. Simultaneously, they aspire to uphold the motto of "Brilliance and Character" by fostering a quality, competitive learning environment for all students. Additionally, the SSLG encourages the practice of the Filipino greeting "Magandang Buhay!" to instill discipline and respect among students, teachers, and non-teaching staff. Furthermore, the SSLG actively supports the project REACH, aiming to raise awareness about teen pregnancy, reproductive health, and consent. Lastly, the SSLG remains committed to the principles of good governance, integrity, and rejection of corruption, ensuring compliance with school rules and regulations and revolves in the DepEds core values, "makadiyos, makato, makakalikasan at makabansa."
