Education
One of the central objectives of the Ang Taga Punla is to nurture students' passion for writing and broadcasting. This is achieved by engaging members in regular writing workshops, where they learn different styles of journalism, such as news reporting, feature writing, and editorial writing, and also by the guidance of the School Paper Adviser (SPA). Ang Taga Punla will serve as a watchdog and vanguards of truth to fully deliver factual news despite the fake news and misinformation circulating in our country. Moreover, it will greatly contribute to the community, providing more comprehensive, reliable, and trustworthy information that would help people become more aware socially in different aspects. These workshops also emphasize the importance of clarity, coherence, and objectivity in journalism. By participating in these activities, students not only improve their writing and broadcasting skills but also develop a strong sense of responsibility towards truthful and balanced reporting, so that we could create a safe and balanced community among individuals.
