One Mercaduhay is a non-profit and non-government organization founded by Mr. Ignacio Sosing for his courage to volunteer in the community. This organization was established just this April 1, 2024, to open the door for young people to develop and empower through advocacy-based projects and activities. He founded the One Mercaduhay youth organization as he couldn't find organizations near his community that provide appropriate opportunities and more development to young people. Mr. Sosing establsihed the non-profit and non-government organization with 17 active volunteers across the barangay. As a volunteer, Mr. Sosing showed his passion for youth development and empowerment despite the challenges he faced when starting to lead the organization. He didn't allow criticism to stop him, instead, he saw it as an opportunity to do more. He also hopes that his story will encourage more young people to volunteer. For him, the idea that volunteering exposes youth more to what true public service is, and what it means to do something bigger than ourselves.
