Education, Economic Empowerment, Social Inclusion and Equity, Active Citizenship

The Pag-Asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) is a nationwide organization of Out of School Youths (OSYs) that aims to be self-reliant, economically productive, and socially responsible citizens. Their goal is to actively contribute to their families' growth and the development of their community. Last December 2023, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) took the lead in establishing the Pag-Asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) in the Municipality of Camalig. This organization has since been known as the Pag-Asa Youth Association of All Barangays in Camalig (PYABaCa), pronounced as 'payaba ka,' derived from the Bicol Camalig dialect word 'Payaba,' which translates to love. OBJECTIVES – The Pag-asa Youth Association of All Barangays in Camalig (PYABaCa) shall have the following objectives: a. To encourage the Out-of-School Youth to continue their education and to achieve goals and ambitions; b. To engage youth in various activities that will promote social and economic development such as skills, volunteerism, and promote protection and conservation of the natural environment; c. To strengthen social, moral, and cultural integration of family values; d. To amplify advocacy and information dissemination for sexual health awareness; and e. To sustain harmonious collaboration and tie-up activities, programs, and projects with government and non-government agencies for the betterment of Out-of-School Youth and In-School Youth.
