Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) serves as the highest governing body of all learners in secondary levers respectively which serves, protect and promote the rights and Welfare of every Learner. Objectives of the Supreme Secondary Learner Government: 1. The SSLG shall be the forefront of the learners’ rights and welfare; model of the learners’ excellence; and representation of good character and deep sense of morel values. 2. The SSLG shall have the power that emanates from the student body. It shall be diplomatic, unified, and the highest democratic representative of the student body. 3. The SSLG shall uphold and adhere with the Mission Statement od the Department of Education which is to protect and to promote the right of every Filipino to quality. Equitable, culture-based, and complete basic education where students learn in child-friendly, gender sensitive, culturally are, safe and motivating environment. 4. The SSLG shall be committed to adhere with the core values of Maka-Diyos, Makatao, Makakalikasan and Makabansa, its principles, and ideals in actions through action academic, socio-civic and leadership. 5. The SSLG shall uphold the values, principles, and ideals of the Department of Education; empower the learners to strive for excellence in the academics, leadership and social responsibility; encourage learners to be proactive members of the society; lead learners in developing passionate love of country, values, and competencies that will enable them to realize their full potential and to contribute meaningfully to building the nation; represent the learners in the School management in developing a learner-friendly, safe and motivating learning environment. , safe m 6. The SSLG shall pursue, practice, and uphold at all times, principles of good governance, the value of integrity, renouncing all forms of corruption and acts which are contrary to the rule and regulations of the school and DepEd. 11. The SSLG shall encourage open communication and dialogue will all registered students’ organization, learners, and other stakeholders, consistent with its principles and purposes. 12. The SSLG shall provide a channel for learners’ opinions, suggestions, grievances, and other concerns affecting their rights and welfare in the school. 13. The SSLG shall remain accountable and transparent at all times with all its transactions involving the interest of the learners. 14. The SSLG shall uphold a non-sectarian status. 15. The SSLG shall not engage in any form of or act which constitutes as commercialization pursuant to DepEd Order (DO) No. 28, s. 2001, Prohibiting the Commercialization of the DECS Organization Through Endorsements and Accreditation of Goods and Services and DO 39, s. 2009, Strict Adherence to DepEd Order No. 28, s. 2001 (Prohibiting the Commercialization of the DECs Organization Through Endorsements and Accreditation of Goods and Services), and other relevant laws and rules
