The Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) is a student Organization mandated by the Department of Education (DepEd) in the Philippines to operate in all public and private secondary schools. It serves as bridge between the student body and school administration, promoting responsible leadership, self-governance, and student welfare. The SSLG aims to achieve the following objectives: -Develop leadership skills and values: The SSLG provides students with opportunities to develop leadership skills, such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and decision-making. It also instills values like integrity, responsibility, and service to others. -Promote participate democracy: The SSLG encourages students to actively participate in school governance and decision-making processes, fostering a sense of ownership and responsibility -Achieve quality education and academic excellence: The SSLG supports the school’s academic goals by promoting a conductive learning environment and encouraging students to strive for excellence. -Protect students rights and welfare: The SSLG upholds the principles of good governance and integrity, fostering transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct among its members. -Nature a service-oriented community: The SSLG encourages students to engage in community service and volunteerism, promoting social responsibility and civic engagement.
