Social Inclusion and Equity

The Doña Josefa Youth Organization (DJYO) is a dynamic group of young individuals from Barangay Doña Josefa, MacArthur, Leyte, united by a shared vision of empowerment, community service, and leadership. DJYO serves as a platform for youth members to actively participate in programs and initiatives that foster their holistic development while contributing to the progress of the barangay. The Organization is committed to engaging the youth in various sectors, including education, sports, environment, social services, culture, and peace-building. DJYO aims to inspire young people to become responsible citizens and future leaders, instilling values of integrity, teamwork, and service to the community. Objectives: 1. Youth Empowerment: To provide opportunities for personal and leadership development through education, skills training, and capacity-building activities. 2. Community Involvement: To engage youth members in community development projects that address local needs and promote volunteerism. 3. Health and Wellness: To encourage a healthy and active lifestyle through sports, recreation, and fitness programs. 4. Environmental Stewardship: To raise environmental awareness and implement eco-friendly initiatives, contributing to the sustainability of the community. 5. Cultural Preservation: To promote and preserve local traditions and heritage through cultural events and activities. 6. Peace and Order: To advocate for peace, security, and youth participation in maintaining order within the community. Through these objectives, DJYO seeks to mold the youth into productive, socially responsible, and empowered members of society.
