LGBTQIA+ is an acronym that stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer, asexual. That people use to describe their experiences of their gender, sexuality and physiological sex characteristics. People around the world face violence and inequality and sometimes torture, even execution because of who they love, how they look, or who they are. Sexual orientation and gender identity are integral aspects of ourselves and should never lead to discrimination or abuse. Discrimination and violence against LGBTQIA+ people can come in many forms, from name-calling, bullying, harassment, and gender-based violence, to being denied a job or appropriate healthcare. That may result on a devastating effect on physical, mental and emotional well-being for those forced to endure it. So it's about time to establish this kind of organization in our community. Representation is essential in giving a sense of community that affirms that every member is seen and valued, cater to their needs, and are geared toward the hurdles they usually face. Well LGBTQIA+ people are inherently creative, and best believe we wouldn't run out of ideas. To be united in building a strong powerful and influential LGBTQIA+ community organization, and dominant in all by upholding the core values which is passion, respect, empowerment and integrity that makes a member unique and establish trust through inclusivity and recognition. Establish of habits in promoting wellness and resiliency in order to have a fully visible, vibrant and inclusive community that embraces LGBTQ+ people. To provide an organization that strengthens and support people with diverse sexes, gender identities or expressions, and sexual orientations and to live openly without discrimination and enjoy equal rights, personal autonomy, freedom of expression and association. Ultimately, an LGBTQIA+ organization can create programs and platforms that foster safe spaces for this people in the community. One of which is the counseling on gender an sexuality who are confused and are yet to discover their sexual orientation and gender identity and expression. This kind of forums battle the innate ignorance that LGBTQIA+ people face everyday and it may create space for sharing pronouns to address misconceptions and homophobic remarks about these gender preferences. Thus, it's about time for this federation to upholds and establish a progressive LGBTQIA+ organization in this Municipality. It doesn't have to start big, but it has to start somewhere, and the time is now.
