Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) is a nationwide youth organization dedicated to empowering disadvantaged youth between the ages of 15 and 30. The organization was first incorporated in 1974 as the Pag-asa Youth Movement, Inc. (PYM, Inc.) and became an affiliate of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) under the Unlad Kabataan Program (UKP). In 1996, PYM, Inc. changed its name to PYAP, Inc. and expanded its reach across all 18 regions of the Philippines, including the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM). PYAP's mission is to empower young people to take an active role in community and nation building by providing them with opportunities for holistic development. The organization's vision is to produce young people who respond to the needs of their time, are holistically developed, and can effect change in their communities. PYAP's programs focus on the total development of disadvantaged youth, including their spiritual, physical, psychological, cultural, and social well-being].
