I. Rationale/Overview: The Northern Mindanao Association of DOST-SEI Scholars (NMADS) is an organization of all scholar students in Region X – Northern Mindanao who have acquired the privilege and responsibility of being the scholarship grantees of the Department of Science and Technology – Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI). The NMADS initiates programs, events, and activities that ensures the embodiment of positive attributes, aligned to the core values of the DOST-SEI scholars and to promote science and technology among them within the region. The projects of the organization are created for the DOST-SEI scholars in Northern Mindanao in an effort to mold the scholars’ character, culture, and identity of being a leader, a patriot, and a Filipino. As an organization of DOST-SEI scholars, the Northern Mindanao Association of DOST-SEI Scholars (NMADS) aims to foster gratifying and harmonious connections as well as to actively inspire the scholars in contribution to the improvement of the scholar society, brimming with ingenuity and actions that are done with sincerity. Moreover, to establish that above and beyond being science scholars, the DOST-SEI scholars are scholars for the nation and humanity. II. Vision, Mission, Goals and Objectives, Core Values VISION By 2027, the Northern Mindanao Association of DOST-SEI Scholars (NMADS) shall be the eminent student scholar organization of all DOST-SEI scholars in Region X – Northern Mindanao that promotes professional excellence, social responsibility, and servant leadership towards the betterment of the community, the city, the country, and of the world through science and technology. MISSION As an organization, the NMADS shall mold, lead, and unite all DOST-SEI scholars within the Region X – Northern Mindanao to become an intellectually empowered, volunteer-driven, and competitively proactive scholars by means of advocated and socially grounded activities. OBJECTIVES • To provide programs and activities that aims to strengthen the academic competitiveness, sense of volunteerism, and servant-leadership capabilities of the scholars. • To constitute and provide avenues for dedicated holistic development for the overall wellbeing of scholars as well as to assist them in terms of addressing their scholarship-related concerns. • To establish a good rapport with the organization's members and motivate them to realize their full potential as national patriot leaders. • To foster collaborative engagement that upholds and develops the connections among various DOST-SEI scholarship related organizations, colleges and institutions, community, as well as the world of work and industry.
